GISD Campus Paraprofessional / Aide Pool Application

Assist the classroom teacher in preparation and management of classroom activities and administrative requirements. Work under supervision of certified teacher.

Education/Certification / Experience:

• High school diploma or GED
• Associate’s degree or two years of study at an institute of higher learning preferred
• Meet - or ability to meet - formal academic assessment required by ESSA
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to assist in instructing science, reading, writing, and mathematics
• Ability to work well with children
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Some experience working with children required
